Desperately trying to stimulate what it was that was alright 3 quarters of an hour ago

Had a good time at competitive on Monday. Didn't do much, got a garbage d, layed out for one I dropped (but caught in the end), and threw a shady pass or two. I got a bunch of time in at handler and didn't get open much, but played passable defense.

Went 1-1 at social today, just didn't get amped up enough to take the first one back and lost very suddenly. I misread a huck and dropped it again but this time I kept running so I grossly overshot it. Baby steps. I pulled again and it went OB like 45 yards down. For some reason I just cannot pull a backhand. Had a few throwing turns but what else is new. Played much better game two and layed out for a few.

I realized that whenever I think about my throw I mess it up. When I just think about the spot I want to hit and don't think about the throw itself I am much more accurate. I also need to remember to not get lazy -- keep my grip tight and powerful and to use my body on all my throws.

Walked the dogs two miles, ran one today. I am very sore. I am not sure if I am running tomorrow because I might have made a wager on a shuttle-run-race against Paul Travers. Terms of the agreement are still in negotiation but I'm pretty sure it will go down. Preliminary terms are that if he wins I will drive him and 3 guests to Denny's and will pay for my own meal to eat there, but when if I win I get the power to command him to stop talking for 5 consecutive seconds, as many times as I want, for a year. Pretty solid EV on that one.

The only other advice I have is to not drink Four Loko. Just don't.

P.S. I apparently messed up my left wrist so I cannot do pushups tonight. Just an excruciator I guess.

P.P.S. I had the sickest cube draft today. Plenty of fake Court Hussars, Dragons, and removal. At one point I had Gideon, Good Jace, and Bad Ajani in play. 4-1 in games against Travers and Katt. Easily the best deck I have drafted in a 4-man.
